Tabby Mountain by Tula Pink is a free pattern.
I took a picture of it with the bottom on top so you can see more of the the bottom purple and aqua rows. It's been very windy here lately. Yesterday I saw a break in the winds as the sun was coming up so took that opportunity to run out and take a few photos.
The pattern is called Tabby Mountain because it showcases a line of Tula Pink fabric called Tabby Road. I used Kaffe Collective fabrics I've had on hand for a long time but have been afraid to cut into. I had mostly quarter and half yards of several fabrics bought on sale over the years. Normally the fabrics are out of my price range.
I finally decided there was no point in having beautiful fabrics stuffed away in a little box.
The point of it all is to let the joyous colors out of the box, put them into a quilt, wrap up and absorb the joy. Now into the hand quilting pile it goes and I need to figure out what to use for a backing.
Oh, and I have scraps! And I think I know what I'll do with them.
I'm trying to use scraps as they happen.

Kaffe fabrics are glorious and this quilt design shows them off beautifully.

I'm delighted that you decided that there was no point in having beautiful fabrics stuffed away in a little box. This quilt top is absolutely beautiful and now it can be enjoyed for years to come . . . well that is after you quilt it together. The fabric and colors are so bright and cheerful, no one could possibly wrap up in it and not have a huge smile on their face :)

LOVE it!!! The point of buying the pretty fabric is to USE the pretty fabric. I'm SEW glad you embraced that theory!
I have way too many of those fabrics you just don't want to cut up. But what is the point of having them if you're not going to use them. They need to get out in the light and shine. This one looks good with the Kaffe fabrics (I have a fairly small stash of those). I think all those triangles would give me fits, though.

What a wonderful pattern for Kaffe fabrics! Joyous color, indeed. I agree that his stuff is usually too expensive, but occasionally I spy it on eBay. Usually someone who has no idea what it is, just selling estate sale stuff. I scored 2 yards of one of the blue and purple large florals for $5 last month. And like you, I hesitate to cut it. But cutting it and using it is The Point. Thanks for the reminder :)

A glorious rainbow background. Just stunning with your large prints. And you have a plan for the scraps. I'm with you; let's use everything up and wrap in these colors rather than hiding them away. I hope you plan to keep this one yourself. Sure to chase away all doldrums.

Gorgeous colors and fabrics! I've never used Kaffe fabrics before because, as you said, they are kind of pricey. It will be interesting to see how you quilt this one will all of the wide open spaces. purrfection8@gmail.com
