Another Wonky Log Cabin Top

Wonky Log Cabin
Star Centers
Blue and Green Strings
42 x 56

I had a few 4.5 inch finished Wonky Star blocks with blue and green backgrounds in with my orphan blocks.   I decided to use them as the starting point for some log cabin blocks made with some blue and green strings.

The trimmed up Log Cabin blocks are 14.5 inches.

And sew on...

The strong blue and green strips for the log cabins are SEW effective. Love the Wonky Stars In the centres. Are those all your strong blues and green strips used up? How about the orphan Wonky stars, any of those left? I’m trying to guess what’s coming off the production line next!!!

On and on you go creating beautiful blocks from nearly nothing bits of fabric. I admire your process immensely!

Happy Sunday Cathy :-)

Hmm... What a great way to make those smaller star blocks into a bigger quilt, Cathy! I've got some tiny 9-Patch blocks that need SOMETHING done with them. Goodness knows I've got PLENTY of scrappy strings!! This idea may be just the ticket.
