Plaid-ish, the Flimsy

 Plaid-ish
It's a flimsy!
64 x 82

I like how this turned out.  It was a perfect use of some five inch red, white and blue scraps I had left over from making Foothills as I blogged a few days ago.  I rarely make the same pattern more than once (except Happy Blocks) but I may have to try this one again.

Good thing I took the photo a couple of days ago. There is snow on the ground this morning!

Wow! What a difference color made in this quilt pattern. I loved her version but your colorway took this pattern over the top!

Do you mind if I pin this to my pinterest patriotic quilts?

I've seen this made several times but I LOVE your colors. Maybe I'll make one of these for next year -- either patriotic for July or even autumnal colors might be fun. Thanks for the link!

hmmm, I like the big scale of those blocks. You can cover a lot of territory that way! Great colors too! Have you seen that book "Modern Scot" by Kathy Allen, using tartan patterns for inspiration in making ? Fun stuff! cheers!

Although I would hate to put a quilt on the ground (until it starts wearing out) but this one looks like the perfect 4th of July picnic quilt :) You're amazing, this had to be challenging, one piece out of place and you could see it a mile away. Great Job!!!

You know how I love R/W/B quilts! This one is beautiful! You did a great job getting the little stars in the narrow strips. ---"Love"

You always seem to take an inspiration and just blow it way over the top! I just love this one. I sure wish I had your eye for color. Do you know how you will quilt it?

Great flimsy. The red, white and blue colours work so well for this quilt pattern. No wonder you want to make it again.
