Itty Bit by Itty Bit

Lego Blocks

Squares and Rectangles
is the July theme in my sewing room.

I tripped and fell a few days ago. My knee swelled up and I have lower back pain so it hurts to get up and down out of a chair and sit and sew for very long so I've been working on these easy Lego blocks for the last couple of days.  I have a little box of 1.5 x 2.5 inch rectangles (Legos) that are the result of scrap processing so decided to see how many blocks I could make.

I was able to make 5 blocks and now am at the half way mark with 15 blocks toward my goal of 30 blocks.

And now I'm out of  Legos again so have to wait for more scrap processing to occur.

This is a long term project waiting for scraps to happen.

And sew on...

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall, Cathy! Those kinds of events are never fun. Glad you can sew a little - those Lego blocks look like scrappy fun!

Hope the knee swelling is going down. Horrid when you can’t sew and that’s just what you want to do.

I'm sure it wont be too long before you are "srap processing" again. Sorry to read about your injury, do hope you start to feel better very soon. These trips and falls can really shake us up, cant they.

So sad for your leg injury- at least nothing was broken! Ice it and elevate whenever you can. I love the lego blocks. Something is so appealing to me when it is 1.5", must be some mental issue. Hope your garden can hang on a little while until you heal up. Just love the blocks!

So sorry to hear of your fall. I definitely know what that's like. Those blocks are cute but keeping up with pressing all of those seams would not be fun for a larger quilt.

Sorry to hear about your fall. Thank goodness nothing was broken, but still, it takes us longer and longer to heal from such things. Lots of ice and patience is my advice. I too am playing with little 1.5 X 2.5 and then I found another project that can be done with pieces of that size. You can see it here:

Praying for a speedy recovery. Take care. ;^)

So fun! I always wanted to do this in an RSC version of using one colour of legos per block.
Hope your recovery is quick and easy so you can get back to your important quilting!

I hope your leg improves quickly. Such a pain to be in pain in the heat of summer.
