Love at First Sight - A Hand Quilted Finish

 Love at First Sight
74 x 82
A Log Cabin quilt inspired by a c. 1890 quilt.
Details on the vintage inspiration, how my quilt got it's name, the size of pieces and blocks can be found on my October 30, 2019 blog post.

Hand quilted with big stitching using red, black and white perle #12. I stitched down the center of each 1/2 inch log cabin strip and stitched Xs in the white patches of the center little nine patches.

WOW, this is one of the coolest log cabins I've ever seen. I love the colors, the contrast, etc. and the extra narrow logs. Fabulous quilt! I'm currently quilting a log cabin in a similar fashion with sashiko thread, while watching Netflix!

I am in love! And the stripped backing just makes me smile even wider.

Woo hoo! You have done such a good job remaking an antique inspiration. Seeing the modern fabrics (like the lady bugs and ants) in it makes it even better. Congratulations!

This is a fantastic quilt, always knew that it would turn out wonderfully! I'd love to see it in another colorway or two, but the red is a great choice!:)

that's very clever - and pretty too. It's a log cabin with a twist. It looks so good against the snow. Thank you for linking up to the Peacock Party.
