It's a Finish!

 A Wheelchair Quilt
for someone who loves their Irish ancestry and the color green.

36 x 45

It is now in transit to the intended recipient.
I hope he can use it.
He went home from an extended care facility on Christmas eve and we were told his Parkinson's progressed to the point where he would be confined to a wheelchair. In the last few weeks I understand that he barely makes it to the wheelchair now.

for January as declared at Elm Street Quilts.

So sorry that the recipient is facing such a challenging health issue. Hopefully this quilt will bring him some comfort and a bit of joy.

I'm certain he will enjoy the quilt - in or out of the wheelchair. I love that style of quilting just away from the seam lines - creates a wonderful grid.

When I saw your quilt, it reminded me of the comfort quilt our group made for one of our members when she was going through breast cancer treatments. I'll try to send you a photo of it. I did the construction of it using blocks from about 15 members and swore I'd never do that again. The blocks were 16 patches instead of 9 patches. Yours is lovely and I'm sure it was appreciated.

Fun and happy quilt! He'll be able to use it even in a bed, and I'm sure he'll appreciate it very much. Parkinson's is an awful, awful disease :(
