It's a flimsy!
It will be a donation quilt when finished.
42 x 60
Every once in awhile when I feel like I'm accomplishing little or nothing I feel a need for some instant gratification.
So I dug through the orphans and parts to see if I could put together a quilt top.
In the orphanage I found thirty-six 6 inch rail blocks cut from left over strips from a kaleidoscope quilt I finished in 2015.
And in the Parts Department I found those six inch Broken Dishes blocks I made last month in order to empty a 3.5 HST bin.
I added a few 1.5 inch strips all around...
...and a little bit of LOVE.
And voila!

I just love your latest "Quickie" Quilt. Great how youtook those Orphan blocks and turned them into a colourful quilt. But of course you had to have the foresight to join those leftover kaleidoscope strips into railfence blocks. Good one, Cathy.
This is the fun result when you work with a huge number of prints and colors. Cheerful exuberance!
Love how you say you are accomplishing nothing ;)) hahaha--I think this quilt is so cute...someone will really love it...hugs, Julierose
That is a really neat quilt; I love it, and someone else will love it too someday when you get it finished. ---"Love"
I love the randomness of all the colours :)
"...when I feel like I'm accomplishing little or nothing" What??? I wish I could accomplish as "little" as you do! Rail fence quilts always seem to look good in bright colors. Some little kid is going to love it.
That is a quilt completely composed of smiles!
Great arrangement of color and the pinwheels on top and bottom are
cheerful. Wonderful flimsy.
"Accomplishing little or nothing," indeed. Cathy, it is impossible to keep up with you! And it's not quantity, it's the quality of all your designs. And what you create is do-able, or adaptable, at least by me.
What a treat to have this top finished so quickly. I like the different borders, from the ordering of the strips to the pinwheels. Good job, Cathy.
That’s what I call a win-win quilt top! Quick satisfaction for you and a cheerful, happy donation top. Awesome!
I love this!! its such a fun and colorful top!! yay you!
Snap Cathy!! I have just finished my flimsy using the same blocks, posted on my blog today. I used left over fabrics from a precious wall hanging. I love the mix of colour in you quilt and the addition of the borders.
