This week I made a few Double Irish Chain blocks with pink and brown scraps.
I started making these 9 inch (finished) blocks mid year last year and had previously made four pink blocks as well as a few other colors. I've been using light browns for the background and dark brown for the chains. Here's a few of last year's blocks.

really like you color combos and the block is very tempting
So many pretty color combinations. Looks great!
This will become another gloriously scrappy quilt top -- one block at a time!
Great blocks! Will be a great scrappy quilt.
Wonderful blocks! I love Irish Chains, and your doubles are particularly snazzy. It’s going to be a beautiful, keeper quilt!
this is my favorite "Irish Chain" type block...I made one for my Mom's bed when I began quilting--in pinks and whites...I like the newer way to put the block together available today..with strip piecing. I am tempted...again...
you are the "Enabler-in-Chief" you know hahaha hugs, Julierose
Those are such great blocks, Cathy! I like the way you choose a basic color combo, like your light and dark brown pieces, and then add in a color of the month. This will make a fun quilt design!
Love those pinks! Someday I hoped to make a quilt from that pattern. ---"Love"
Lots of little pieces in your Irish Chain blocks, they look so pretty in pink.
Love Irish Chain quilts - wonder how it got the name Irish Chain?
Lovely PINK additions to your collection, Cathy!!
I like these double Irish chain blocks. Did you use a pattern?
The first quilt I ever made was a Double Irish Chain that my sister and I made together as a wedding gift for our brother in 1995. Your blocks look great! I love pink and brown together.
A lot of tiny squares, but the blocks are very pretty! Love your color combo.
OOOOOH, love those pink and brown blocks, makes a really yummy color combo!
I've always had a soft spot for Double Irish Chains and made three as tablecloths for my parents' 50th celebration. Enjoy!
I can already see that this is going to be a beautiful quilt!
Very pretty! I'm making Irish Courthouse blocks which look very similar if not identical. Wonder what the difference is ... maybe in the construction? Whatever, yours are lovely!
