Heartfelt
48 x 60
Ready for gifting for any number of reasons - heartfelt gratitude, heartfelt sympathy, heartfelt congratulations, heartfelt thanks, heartfelt wishes...
Last year as one of my many Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) projects my goal was to make quilts from my many boxes of crumbs. Each month I dug through the boxes for crumbs in the RSC color of the month and the biggest bits and pieces with straight sides got made into these slab blocks.
Each twelve inch block also contained a red heart...
...and lots of fun scraps. I quilted it on my DSM with what we shall call streamers.
I thought I had a piece of red fabric with little white hearts on it to use for the binding but couldn't find it so went with some red with white polka dots instead.
I pieced the backing. The heart fabric was leftover from making the granddaughters pillowcases many years ago and the pink was a leftover piece of sheet I used as another quilt back.

a bright scrappy delight! still I'm sure no dent made in the stash bins LOL but it is so neat to look at
A beautiful finish that will help whoever is in need. I love the heart in each block.
Very sweet! It will give someone comfort I'm sure. ---"Love"
Those are such great blocks! Perfect for using up the crumbs, and pulled together with all the hearts!
A definite "heartfelt" quilt--so pretty--you come up with the best ideas...a real winner hugs, Julierose
Kathy, I love this quilt with the addition of the heart block. I’ve made a slab quilt, too, and I appliquéd a little owl that was a tester that I found in my scrap bin. The little extras make the quilts so special!
I’m beginning to recognize your quilts from the link up parties! Your style and quilts are wonderful!

Ooh, that is so cute!
What a fun finish (and now you are ready for any gift-giving occasion!!)
What a joyful looking quilt! It cheers up the day just to see it. Good job on the quilted streamers, too!
Love it! My crumb block collection is growing. Someday I may have enough to actually make a quilt. I did use one crumb block as the center of a star block for Covered in Love (which I must get mailed on Monday).

Another beautiful quilt arising from your scraps! I love this one so much!
It is so happy and bright...I think you should enter it in a quilt show. I love how unique each block has been created. I Love It!
Happy, scrappy, and bright! Love it. Congrats on another fun finish.
Isn't it a great feeling using up scraps instead of just tossing them. It's like a free quilt to wrap someone in need.

Lovely, as usual! :)
were the hearts appliqued?
What a great idea to put the hearts in your quilt. It is beautifully scrappy. I spent yesterday trying to stuff more scraps into my bins so I better get on your page. What caught my attention the most was the lush green of your yard and lawn. I live in California and we are brown and dry this time of year. Your green is like eye candy.
Love it. A quilt I can look at for hours. Some scraps you want to keep forever.
This is so pretty!
Delightful!💝
I love bright colors so this quilt is dight up my alley. It is very unusual the way its made. Keeps the eye moving.
Love this quilt Cathy. You do wonderful things with your scrap pile!!! Ellen in Boise
What a beautiful way to say whatever you want. It's perfectly Heartfelt! Way to use up so much memorable scraps too.
I love it! I like this idea for a RSC year. Might copy it next year. A great idea is worth copying.
Those blocks look so great together. Just love this colorful quilt.
