Moon Garden - The Next Border Added

This is how my Moon Garden looks with the Bow Tie border added.

I've been participating in the Medallion Quilt Along at Em's Scrapbag.  I found there was an error in the original instructions for this border and so my Bow Ties ended up at 4 inches finished instead of 3 inches. I used it as a design opportunity and so added the black one inch border all around and just added a border with bigger and fewer Bow Ties.

It will be time to plant a real Moon Garden soon I hope. Seeds have been ordered and received. Now I just need the weather to warm up a bit.

Lovely finish on Moon Garden--I had planted Nicotiana last year in a pot and it looked luminous under the full moon...hugs, Julierose

Really pretty. The black 1 inch border sets off your centre panel perfectly and makes a nice break between borders. I grew moonflowers inside one time and they were beautiful. Lovely quilt

I would have never thought to use bowtie as a border. I love the look?!

Such a delightful quilt! Love those yellow centre flowers, they really glow, just like your Moon Garden will.

"Lucky" mistake as I think the black border adds a lot! Nice fix and beautiful quilt.

Took me a moment to see the border was made of bowties! I saw those alternating white patches and thought, "Oh! She made half moons!" Very clever :)
