Selvage Star

Inspired by Sally's String Stars and a String Star tutorial at Coriander Quilts I decided to use small pieces of selvages to try to make one. Since it is easier to make than I thought I will continue on and add this to my list of selvage quilts I'll work on next year. I think I'll alternate red and yellow backgrounds.

Yay! I definitely want to do more string stars...but will make smaller string diamonds next time.

I've been wanting to make a string LeMoyne Star quilt. I'll be watching this will great interest.
Red and yellow backgrounds sound perfect.
I really like the red background and I love doing strings, but I haven't found a good red that doesn't run even in cold water. Thanks for the link. I might do something with this.
Your selvages lend themselves to this treatment really well.
