Scrap Miscellany

 Boyish Themed Six Inch Hearts
from my 3.5 inch scrap bin

The spouse of one of our Sunshine Online Quilt Guild members recently passed away. It has been customary to send heart blocks to any member that loses a loved one.  Kathy requested six inch boyish themed hearts. She will make kids' quilts with the blocks in her husband's memory.

Four six inch May Block Lotto blocks (Rail Variation) from the 2.5 inch scrap bin.

So sorry for your friends loss. What a great way to remember her husband. Your blocks look great!

Thanks for the link to that tutorial - I can use those blocks for the Jack's Basket quilts, too. Sending hugs for your online guild member.

Kathy will really appreciate those fun "boy" blocks. The eyeball fabric is gorily great :)

Yes we all need support in times of loss.
That pattern makes up a nice heart, good work.
