It's A Top!

Scrappy Snowball in Snowballs
It's a top!
37.5 x 49.5

Gosh, this week has not been as productive as last week. You know...one of those weeks when life throws you a few lemons and you don't have quite enough sugar to make lemonade. Well, I'm hoping to have some lemonade pretty soon. I'm hoping next week maybe life will be a bowl of cherries.

Well, despite those lemons I did get a top made this week.
Scrappy Snowball in Snowball blocks used more of those 2 inch squares I was gifted.

See the Snowballs formed by the 2 inch squares?

And sew on...

I dont know about lemons, but you seem to have plenty of limes to play with! Another lovely top.

I'm with Jenny on this one. You did a great job with limes like a lime-onade! Haha! ;^)

For not being very productive, you are still accomplishing a whole lot more than I am.I hope the weather is better where you are.

This one certainly is a riot of colors, yet is cohesive and fun.

Great collection of green fabrics for the snowballs. Good idea to use up more of your stash of 2” squares on the corners and sashing.

I totally and absolutely LOVE this quilt - the scrappy lime greens are set off SO well with the scrappy mix of other colors. I'm bookmarking this one to see if I can work down the accumulation in my crumb boxes (and goodness knows I have lime greens on hand).

Not lemons but kiwis and blueberries in this delightful design. And thanks for the reminder about Susie's Scraps. So, how many more 2" squares are in that bag?

P.S. Are you saving the cutaways from these snowballs?

I was thinking a bowl of green grapes with this one, Cathy! It's refreshing and beautiful!

Using the different lime green snowballs really makes this a striking quilt. I'm jealous of your stash and admire your use of it. Thanks for sharing.

What a lovely snowball quilt. I love the green snowballs set against all the other colors. It's very pretty. I've seen the same pattern done with white snowballs and white triangle units with the scrappy squares around each block. That's pretty too...but one thing is sure, this pattern looks completely different depending on the colors you choose...and where you choose to place each color.
