A New Top

It's a top!
It's a flimsy!
60 x 72

I've seen this block called Pieces of Eight and I've seen this block called Cheyenne. I saw a picture and made my quilt with no name.

I made my set of 30 twelve inch blocks last year when I was working with my collection of '30s reproduction fabrics. I added some muslin as well as some plaids, homespuns and old shirts.

And sew on...

It looks like a vintage quilt top. I loved looking at all the different prints. Reminds me of grannies quilts.

I saw that pattern on Pinterest too and saved it for future inspiration. Your top is great with the plaids mixed in.

Great minds! I have just begun planning a Pieces of Eight. My reference is a Martingale anthology.

That's a fun design! I really like the circular shapes that form from the block layout. They're reminding me of donuts, lol!

How strange! Your blocks reminded me of doughnuts too. I’m afraid I don’t like doughnuts ( to eat ) but I do like your block design.

I love the plaid with the 30s prints. I find them very pleasing together. Great job! ;^)

Such a lovely homely looking quilt, I mean that in the nicest possible way, it seems to me to be a real comforting cuddly quilt!
