Cheyenne Quilt Blocks
12 inch finished
I saw a picture of the block and decided it was a good one for some old '30s reproduction fabrics plus plaids and shirtings. Last time I showed the blocks I asked the name of the block and a commenter replied it was called Cheyenne. Well, I googled Cheyenne quilt block and found directions for it at several different sites if you are so inclined to make blocks yourself. I cut my HSTs with an Easy Angle ruler and don't usually use patterns but
Delaware Quilts is one of the sites that has instructions for a 12 inch block.
With these blocks I now have 30 blocks - a complete block set- for a layout 5 x 6 and a finished quilt size of 60 x 72 inches - a nice comfort quilt size.
And now, you guessed it...the block set goes into the SAR (Some Assembly Required) box to be assembled at a later date -- some time this winter when I'm not spending time in my gardens.
And sew on...
