It's a flimsy!
Milquetoast
85.5 x 85.5
The traditional block name is Bright Hopes and the blocks finish at 4.5 inches.
There's several tutorials out there. I used the one at Red Pepper Quilts.
I named the quilt Milquetoast because it is quite a departure from my usual bright and wild quilts.
The reason I made it was because I wanted to use up a box of low volume scraps
Milquetoast doesn't have to be boring. Milquetoast can be fun.
I'm rather fond of Milquetoast.

This is fabulous!!! I love all of the low volume prints. Scraplicious!
Milquetoast is wonderful! How many blocks did you make to get it to that size?
I like it, too.
Another flimsy finish! Wow, you’re on a roll, Cathy. I can’t imagine having a large enough box full of low volume scraps to create a quilt the size of Milquetoast. It looks great. The name reminds me of when I was a little girl and Mum used to buy a loaf called Milk Roll. It had circular indentations round the circumference which were a guide for cutting slices. I haven’t thought of that bread for decades!
Indeed, your Milquetoast pretty is certainly not boring. Why, it sings a beautiful song of sweet pastel pattern and design. Love all those scraps of fabric. Such a fun quilt.
The quilt is yummy as is the name!. Good job!
I don’t have near enough low volume scraps to make a quilt!! Yours is great!
Wow, that's a big quilt. I'd have to cut up all my low volume fat quarters to make something like that. It's subdued, but lively and definitely different than your usual fare.

That quilt has a lot of pretty fabric scraps. Nice job! ---"Love"
Soothing and definitely not boring! You can go bright and bold with the backing and make it literally a "two-faced" quilt, Great use of those scraps!
I honestly don't think you can make a bad quilt. I really enjoy seeing how you put scraps together to come up with such beautiful quilts.
Love how this quilt turned out. Hoping I have enough low volumes to use in this pattern.
I struggle with Low volume fabs too! But Milquetoast is wonderful! cheers!
Great idea for those low volume scraps. I am making these blocks too. I love sewing them!
It is so pretty and sweet!! LOVE those colors!!
Such a calm, comfortable-looking quilt! The variety of fabrics make you look twice, and then again. And did you use up all those low-volume scraps?
