This week I worked with my yellow two inch scraps. Two yellow Wedding Ring blocks join the four red ones made last month.
I made five yellow kitties that will finish at 3 inches - a calico cat, a nutty cat, a dotty cat, a flowery cat and one that says "leaf me alone". I'm thinking I will combine them with nine patches because I have lots of them already made. I can't decide if I want to keep the nine patches all in one color or...
...mix it up a bit. I'll just wait until I have a couple more colors of kitties made to decide. I may even just combine the kitties with solid squares or...who knows...the year has just begun.
I made three 16 Patch blocks and five little Wonky Stars. I use waste triangles to make the star points. The rest of the pieces are from the 2 inch scrap bin.
I'm out of yellow scraps now so maybe for next week I'll quilt up a little yellow donation quilt.

Lots of sunshine to brighten your design wall today!
I love the kitty blocks with the 9-patches! It's like they're peeking out. Multicolor cats and patches would be a very vibrant quilt. Love the wedding rings and your other blocks too.
That’s a prolific blog post! You have some great ideas for setting the cats; they all seem pretty.
Those kitten blocks are so dang cute. And pairing them with nine-patches is surely the way to go, since cats have nine lives.
the kitty blocks are so fun and the prints in the wedding ring blocks are great
Another prolific session of using up your yellow scraps. Lovely collection of blocks. The little cats are very cute.
Another beautiful collection of blocks! Your Wedding Ring blocks are so pretty, and I love the combination of kitties and nine-patches.
Love your kitties! (And it's way too early to decide how to set them! I'm sure they'll have ideas of their own between now and next fall!)
You've got a WILD bunch of YELLOW scraps!! Nice job on getting some RSC sewing done.
