Log Cabin Lunacy
64 x 80
One inch wide scraps and four inch finished blocks.
I'll be the first to admit some seams don't line up perfectly so if it looks a little wonky that's because it is.
It starts with red centers.
I spy candy, birds, acorns, horseshoe, cards, jellybeans, eyeballs...
...ghosts, hot peppers, peppermints, jack-o-lanterns, candy corn, m&ms and fireflies.
...ants, cats, gingerbread boy, boats, rabbit in a dress, flag, cherries...
...footprints, trees, apples, snowmen and some memories.
That's what I like about quilts with little pieces - you never know what you will find when you take a closer look. Geometrics, novelties, florals, stripes, polka dots, tone on tones and holiday fabrics all seem to work together.
George always likes to take a closer look at how to get it off the clothesline and under his tush and so this story ends.

Did George approve? I certainly do!
Fantastic, its a beautiful quilt full of quirky fabrics to keep anyone entertained and warm!
I guessed this was coming! Cathy has been quiet for a day - I bet Log Cabin Lunacy will be appearing as a flimsy - and here it is! It looks absolutely great!!!
Super!
What a beautiful finish! I hope that you are keeping this one for yourself.
I think George is just waiting for this beauty to be layered and quilted, THEN it will be ready to sink his tush into! Yummy fabrics, let's face it I'm a sucker for any quilt with reds and oranges/golds in abundance.
That is fabulous! All those tiny little bits of so many wonderful prints--I love it!
You definitely have to be luny to make log cabin quilt that large with " strips! It is absolutely gorgeous! ---"Love"
Oh, I love that quilt (and George!) scrappy string quilts are the best, and this one is a definite winner!!
The swirls of color are wonderful on this one! And my favorite cat ever was named George :)
Omigosh - I cannot believe you have this to flimsy stage already. It is awesome and I love it -- kudos to you and ditto on your thoughts about small scrappy pieces.
That is a whole lot of scraps used for a fabulous flimsy. I'll bet it is a bit heavy!
❤️🐱❤️
Gorgeous!
And it amazes me how much detail you can still see even with such narrow strips!
That's a beauty for sure.
George is a smart cat.
