Green Scraps

I used some green crumbs in a couple of Butterflies. I used a free Ghost Moth pattern.

15 three inch green spools from 1.5 inch scraps.
I think that makes over 650 spools now.  I need about 64 more blocks for a big 81 x 84 quilt.

This is the last green ScrapHappy Saturday.
We will move on to a new color in June.

Orange 1.5 and Crumbs

Crumb Butterflies

A few orange 3 inch spools plus a stray dark purple I forgot to make last month.

A couple of whatever this block happens to be - made of 1.5 postage stamps and muslin strips.  I made the orange and black one yesterday but made the orange and blue one either last year or the year before.  I think I will use the plaid in the background for sashing. I saw a...

...vintage 30s quilt a couple of years ago on Ebay (above) and was inspired to make my own from scraps.   Seller called it "Vintage 30s Roman Stripe".  I know Roman Stripe as a different block.

Got scraps? Orange ones?

Purple 1.5 and Purple Crumbs

I made a couple of rail fence blocks from 1.5 postage stamps and muslin strips. I made a couple of these years ago after I saw a vintage quilt made of these plus had plaid sashing. I saved a pic of it somewhere on my computer.  Anyway, I decided to add these as one of my RSC projects so made one with January's blue/purple theme and March's purple/yellow theme.

Also from 1.5 inch scraps I made a few 3" spools to add to the pile of 600+.

And then I made a couple of Purple Crumb Butterflies - a rare breed, indeed.
