It's a finish!
Spiderweb
54 x 75
I've made several Spider Web quilts using different methods but I like Bonnie Hunter's method the best.
There are lots of scraps in this one!
I quilted it on my sewing machine with black thread on each side of the spiderweb seams.
The backing is a black and white floral. The binding is black and all of it came out of the leftover binding box.
I bought a whole bolt of it because I have quite a few tops that can use this fabric on back. Next month I am going to work on getting those tops all quilted unless I run it of the backing fabric, batting or black thread.

Today is my granddaughter's birthday! I can't believe she is 21 years old already!

And yet another beauty, Cathy--just love that dark background against all the spiders!! :)) You are so inspiring for me...

What a fun quilt, Cathy! I love the background fabric, and the backing too.
I love string quilts, and yours are always wonderful. I started the spiderweb string quilt once (still have tons of kite-shaped red pieces for the background), but felt the short strings it called for wouldn’t eat up enough strings. (Yes, I know there’s an invention called “scissors” to make my long strings shorter). Now I’m drowning in short strings and am eyeing this pattern once again. Anyway, I love the background fabric you chose. As usual, another fantastic finish!!
Cathy, your quilt would keep anyone under it entertained for a looong time. Thanks for telling us which spiderweb method is your favorite, and providing a link, also. I have a hard time deciding on background colors. I like how all the colors in your web show up so brightly against the mostly black background.

That is a great spiderweb!! Happy Birthday to your granddaughter!
Great quilt, Cathy! I love the brights with that black center kits fabric and the backing, too. It's fun to see how you quilted it. You're reminding me that I'd like to make a spiderweb quilt!
Perfect for Halloween. I like the background print, too.
