It's a finish!
36 x 44
Someone gave me a bag of six inch Snowballs with red corners. I divided them up by theme for a couple of different quilts. This one has a sport theme.
I quilted it with horizontal lines in the sashing rows and spirals in the Snowballs.
The back. I bought the red and black paisley print a long long time ago. I remember it was deeply discounted Christmas fabric. I usually shopped the deeply discounted fabrics after a holiday and looked for fabrics like this one that really didn't look holiday related.
And now it is ready for donation.
A few weeks ago the Wrap-A-Smile coordinator ( Ann) sent out a plea for 40-50 "smalls":
"Hope y’all can help! I’m still on the outlook for even more very small, very light-weight children’s quilts for WAS. During the past year I have received an amazing number of gorgeous, beautiful quilts but the majority have been larger and heavier. Rotaplast treats a variety of ages and they need me to pack a mix of sizes. Plus they have weight restrictions on the supply boxes that go by air for the medical missions.
I would love to receive 40-50 “smalls” (36 x 45-ish) by the end of the year. "...Ann

It's time to collect seeds from the gardens.
I always collect a lot of Zinnia seeds. I cut the whole dried heads...
...and store them for the winter in paper lunch bags. I really font worry about separating out the seeds from the dried petals or stem. In Spring after the last frost I just prepare my bed and then tear apart the seed heads and sprinkle the pieces in the bed and then throw a little soil on top and walk all over the bed and water it then wait for the magic to happen.
I save junk mail envelopes to store smaller seeds like these Four O'clocks.

What a great quilt! I love the emoji fabric!
Wow I sent you those, the squares didn't come out as squares and I didn't want to bother with them,I am so glad you were able to make a beautiful quilt for someone. Hugs Donna
That emoji fabric will tickle someone special! What a great finish! I like how you save your seeds!
Another great quilt for your project. I posted about zinnias today, too...tis harvest season.
Great idea with those blocks. I would probably still be trying to decide what to do with them. Thanks for the gardening tips too. You always have such good tips and information for lots of things.
What a fun way to use all those blocks!!
