Nine Patch Pleasures

Paths and Stiles
Nine inch (finished)

Framed Nine Patch Star
Nine inch (finished).

I have a small bin of 3 inch (finished) Nine Patches. I'm using the two color/two shades of same color Nine Patches to make these blocks. I'm going to try to make several of each block every week. At the beginning of the year I told myself that if I started anything new I had to finish a flimsy by year end unless it was a Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) Project. So far so good but I'm not so sure about these new starts. If it gets close to year end I guess I could turn them into RSC projects!

Pretty purple patchy pleasures!
I've found the RSC is a very handy excuse for projects I want to start...

You always have such interesting fabrics. I know you have been collecting them over the years but still the collection is amazing.

I love seeing all your blocks and scrappy quilts! Starting with a nine patch and shades of purple is a good way to reduce the scrap mountain. I haven’t got a lot of purple scraps, they go into the black, white and neutrals box.

I really love blues and purples, especially together. And those are both nice looking and interesting block designs. If I didn't have so many, many projects already started, I would definitely try one or both of these. I might anyways.

I don't comment on all of your posts but I definitely do look at them. They are such an inspiration. I hope I can get myself organized like that soon so I can make the most of my days! You remind me every day why I love scrap quilts.
