Log Cabin Lunacy

Julie (JulieKQuilts) posted a picture of her log cabin quilt and instructions for how she made it at the beginning of the year. I've been sewing along and have completed my 48 - 10 inch (finished) blocks made from some of my civil war reproduction scraps.

Now this complete set of blocks is going into the "Some Assembly Required" box to be assembled into a top at some later date.

Interesting blocks. So now they get put away and sometime down the track we have a Hey Presto moment when suddenly a Log Cabin Lunacy flimsy appears from the hat!

Mine are waiting for the outer rounds (2, 3, and 4). Strips are cut, I just need to sit and sew. I love your colors!!

Happy quilting!

I've always loved Civil War repros and you've chosen some beautiful colors! Not to mention that Log Cabins are one of my favorite designs and I still haven't made one for myself yet. I seem to remember that they are easy to sew and go together quickly. My biggest ongoing problem is choosing which fabrics to use on which design on my bucket list, which is a mile long.

I have a number of "Some assembly required" boxes. I like that term you used, so will keep it myself as well. Loving those fabrics, some I have myself too.

The blocks are pretty, and have some of my fave repros, so I hope it doesn't have to wait too long to become a complete quilt!
