It's a new top!
Animal Crackers
42 x 54
I used animal themed fabrics and solids to make six inch (finished) H blocks.
While I had the fabrics out and was cutting 2.5 inch strips I cut extra strips for use in a different block. You will have to wait to see what that one is. Now that it's cooler again I will be out in the garden more often and I'm now the learning coach for my granddaughter who opted for online learning. That was a good choice for her because she can use the one on one time and she can avoid all the drama that seems to surround her at school. I have the time so volunteered to help out.

Crackin' good fun!
You have so many wonderful collections of themed fabrics! This quilt turned out great!
See---It's Sunday, and you already have another top completed! Looks nice too! ---"Love"
I love the happy animal H’s! That is so wonderful that you have the time to be your granddaughter’s learning coach. Time to spend with your granddaughter and if she’s old enough, something she will remember and appreciate.
Great use of novelty fabrics in this "H" piece--
Nice finish on this one...Hugs, julierose
Somebody is going to love this colorful quilt!
Congrats on getting Animal Crackers together, Cathy! Looking forward to seeing what those extra cut strips will become.
That's cute, Cathy! I like the blocks laid out this with a mix of colors all through. It's great that you can help your granddaughter like that - enjoy!
Super fun quilt top. So colorful! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
How did you find time to make this flimsy? Generous of you to volunteer to help your granddaughter with online schooling. Hope it all goes well. Children’s education is such a worry during this pandemic. Enjoy your one on one time with her.
Animal crackers in my soup...I always wondered about that song. Who puts cookies in soup? The crackers must have been savory instead of sweet when the song was written. Your scrappy top is sweet AND savory :)
How wonderful that you can help out your granddaughter! I don't live near either of my granddaughters...I miss the time with them!
Love the scrappy quilt! :)
Great use of scraps. Fun and bright. Good for you for being your Granddaughter's learning coach. If we lived close enough I would volunteer. It would sure help out our kids. Have fun.
What a fun, cute quilt! It looks like it was a free-wheeling blast to sew!
You just keep turning out quilts! I enjoy seeing them. It's good you can help your granddaughter. I remember when not too long ago people were discouraged from homeschooling and look how times have changed.
Such a great quilt! It's so welcoming that it is just crying out for someone to cuddle it. I love that there are no "light" squares in it; it gives it an usual appeal. The blocks look perfect for using up scraps too. Thanks for sharing it.
H is for happy, and that's one happy quilt!
Enjoy your time with your grand-daughter - may it bring happiness to you both!
How fortunate your granddaughter is that you can be her online coach. What a happy memory that will be for you both.
Your Animal Crackers are adorable. Love all your novelty prints.
