Spider Webs

The 1.5 inch scrap bin is full despite my use in a couple of Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects.  I haven't made a Spider Web quilt since 2012. I used multi-sized strings in that quilt, used spider webs for the center, made it twin sized,  put Spider Man fabric on the back, quilted it with spider webs and gave it to my grandson.

I thought it was time to try one again using pieces all the same size. I have lots of different spider web fabrics for the centers.  I'll make blocks until I empty the 1.5 inch bin and see how many blocks I have and go from there.

I've lately been trying to rid myself of strips and strings and have several projects going. Maybe I will finish a few of them soon.

Love how you're using the web fabric for the web blocks! Will be a great scrap-buster and fun too :)

LOVE! Are you piecing onto paper or fabric or simply piecing/trimming?

It's a fun way to buster those 1,5" strips. Great work!

Great blocks! I am doing some string blocks too but the bin still seems as full as when I started and I think I think I have made over forty! I have a similar plan as yours just keep making them till my bin is empty.

Simply charming. Love the different blacks for the stars. My spiderweb has been set aside for a while but I have a bunch of strings to use up, too. Time to get it going again.

You have some fantastic fabrics for your centres! Spider Web is one of those patterns that always seems to look great and this is no exception. Good luck reducing your scraps (I'm pretty sure mine are breeding when I'm not looking).
