Hidden Log Cabin Finish!

It's a finish!
Hidden Log Cabin
40 x 56

This is one of the four Log Cabin tops I made last December. It is the first of the four to be finished.

Last December someone with the Stashbusters group posted a link to Hidden Log Cabin made with a jelly roll or layer cake. I don't normally even look at jelly roll or layer cake ideas because I don't buy precuts BUT At the time I had a lot of 2.5 inch width scraps so used those I had in bright colors and black/white.

I used black multicolor squares for all centers.

I quilted it on my sewing machine with vertical lines.

There's peppers on the back.

I spent the first half of August assembling tops and now I think I will spend the second half doing some quilting. I think I will work on finishing child sized comfort quilts and alternate between quilting UFOs and new starts this year.

And sew on...

And now for more photos from my gardens.

A tiny butterfly that I think is some type of Skipper landed on my arm and visited for almost 25 minutes. It must have thought I looked salty.

Congratulations on your finish. Love how you took a Jelly Roll pattern and made it from your scraps.

I don't recall seeing this quilt before. I like this log cabin option. It's cool and quick to do I'm sure. I think that tiny little butterfly came to kiss you for all the good food you supply to them. Enjoy! ;^)
