It's a finish!
Rails and Squares
40.5 x 49.5
Earlier this year I started making 5 inch (unfinished) Rail Fence blocks as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) project to use 2 inch scraps. I made them with the scraps in the color of the month and with black centers.
I also had a bunch of black multicolor 5 inch squares and scraps so decided to combine the Rails and squares in a quilt.
I quilted on the diagonals through the squares and half inch from some seams.
The backing is a red, black and white plaid.
And sew on...

Great finish Cathy! Happy Sunday to you :-)
Oh! I LOVE this one, front and back! Those dogs standing at the police lined up is hilarious. I spotted a few prints that I have too. Great job. Bravo! ;^)
What another wonderful finish. . As a lover of red, my heart skipped a beat or two when I saw the photo of the back!
Oh, I love the backing you used for this happy b/w with color quilt.
Sooo cute!!! Strong work—Nancy O.
LOVE the back with the colorful front. Great way to use the brights on black prints, too.
What fun! 2" strips so 4.5" finished blocks??
