It's a top!
Sawtooth Stars
40 x 56
I mentioned in June that someone sent me a box of Flying Geese bodies ( the fabric kind). I decided to make some strips of Flying Geese and to use them in Sawtooth Stars.
I used scraps from the 2.5 inch width scrap box for Star Points ( Flying Geese wings) and for Star corner squares.
I used 4.5 inch squares from my bin of squares for the Star centers.
I made 35 eight inch finished Stars and assembled this child sized comfort quilt top. Now I will continue to make the rest of the Flying Geese bodies into strips after I give them some wings.
And sew on...

Geese flying all the way up to the stars; love it! I appreciate that you didn't sew the kitties right next to the dog. That would had been CATastrophic. Hehehe! Enjoy! ;^)
Fabulous flimsy :-)
It looks like a stained glass window with the light coming through from the back. I never get tired of sawtooth stars.
I like that, "giving the geese some wings". Another lovely quilt top.
Nice! A great way to use the gift.
Laughing about the flying geese bodies being the fabric kind - what an imagination!

You did a great job with those flying geese. They made fabulous stars! That quilt will surely be loved. Congratulations on another finish.
Geese bodies? And you added wings or sky? I wouldn't mind a gift like that. So colorful. My geese bodies are used in hour glass blocks. Duh. Must remember this.
