Pink And Blue Coins Finished

Pink and Blue Coins
40 x 60
It's a finish!

This is one of 13 quilt tops I made last year when I emptied a box of 3 inch width scraps.  There were several long strips in the box in pinks and blues so I turned them into coins - 2 strips at least 13.5 inches long were sewn together and then cut into 4.5 inch lengths and sewn back together into a strip of 6.

I quilted it on my sewing machine with vertical lines on each side of the seam lines.

The binding is scrappy - pink pieces from the leftover binding box.

The backing is pieced - 3 different blue fabrics.

And sew on...

Another beautiful quilt Cathy! You have an innate gift of turning any ordinary mismatched pile of fabric into a sight of beauty….then graciously giving the gift away. I thought it was close to the anniversary of Kayla’s untimely departure. Only 6 years ago it was discovered that I have the same heart condition you have shared they think Kayla died from. It appears from medications & a few surgical procedures my condition is stabilized…..my entire lifetime the problem was there but only newly discovered. Why are some taken, yet some are not? There is a loving God above, who has more wisdom than us, and whom we can trust……may he hold you tightly and comfort you. I do not flippantly say this, I know your hurt is enormous ❤️❤️ - Beth in AL
