Purple Slab and Crumb Edition

From the purple box of scraps...
Two twelve inch Heart of the Matter slab blocks.

From Cathy's Crumby Confectionery Company - three grape Crumby Yummies and three blackberry Crumby Yummies - sweet eight inch candy blocks.
And into the aquarium with the blue fish swim some Itty Bitty Nitty Gritty purple fish.   (I was going to try to use blue scraps for "water" around all the fish but it looks like some get lost in the backgrounds. Maybe it will all work out when all the fish are in the aquarium??? I was then going to arrange fish with lightest blue backgrounds on top and darkest on bottom. )
And six eight inch stars from the Crumb Galaxy not too far away.

So many beautiful crumby purple blocks! I think your fishies will look great all swimming in blue water, and the idea of shading your blocks from light to dark is genius!

What a fertile imagination you have! From the candy confections to the fish to the crumb galaxy, I want to come live in your world! The aquarium will be awesome! Thanks for an overdose of inspiration!

What fun you have had creating so many different blocks from your purple scraps. Love them all but the sweets particularly appealed to me. Four more quilts for the future?

Very purple around here!
I'm enjoying what looks to me like 'crazy' piecing.
It's all around your hearts and in your candies and fishes.
Lovely.

So fun! How do you know which yummies taste like grape and which are blackberry... I can picture you licking the fabric to taste them LOL!
I am working on a fish quilt too (not as scrappy as your blocks) and thought I would make the background blues lighter at the top and darker at the bottom.
