Brownies with Pink Icing

Brown is the color of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. We can also use pink for accent.  Here are this month's 14 inch interlocking chain blocks - one in brown and pink and one in all browns.

Here's some miscellaneous brown scraps - two 8 inch Depression Blocks to add to the pile I've been making for a couple of years, two 4 inch Broken Dishes blocks for the four inch Kitchen Sink pile and a bunch of 4 inch chocolate hearts with some chocolate pieces left over from Which Way to the Chocolate?  Not sure what I'll do with them...but they were quick and easy and used up some scraps.

That concludes this week's brown scraps. I think I might have enough leftover for some blocks next week.

There's always an open invitation to anyone with scraps! Be there!

What delightful brown and pink projects. Love the chocolate hearts. Are there enough for a cute Valentine's Day mat or runner? I'd love a placemat done up with chocolate hearts - perfect for tea and something sweet!

Fun mix of blocks -- perhaps those chocolate heart blocks will become Valentines for 2017?

Yes, chocolate is a great way to deal with both depression and broken dishes.

Love your chocolate heart blocks, very cute. Lots of variety in your blocks. You'll have some great quilts when you start setting those together.

Your blocks are great! I keep thinking I'll make a kitchen sink type quilt some day, but none of my leftovers seem to go! Maybe I just need more leftovers.

Those heart blocks must have had you running out to get the real thing. Hopefully you received some on the 14th. Good job using your brown scraps.

It's fun to see all of your different blocks, but I especially love the Depression blocks. Do you collect leftover HSTs for them? They are such a neat design!

The chocolate hearts look so appealing, especially set on your lovely pinks. I had forgotten about accents of pink altogether. Very interesting blocks the interlocking chains and I like the 14# size.
