Kaleidoscope

It's ALMOST a top.
I need to add a colorful crumb border. I hope it will look like those little kaleidoscope pieces before they form designs.
I used crumbs in the corners of each 12 inch kaleidoscope block so that's why I'm going to add the border...plus it will get rid of some of those itty bitty scraps.

This is one of the projects I worked on for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  Each month I made a block out of the color of the month, the color of the month plus the previous month and the color of the month plus its color complement.

Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2015 is about ready to start.  If you've got scraps and want to use them up then join us in 2015.  I've seen a lot of gorgeous and inspiring scrap quilts in progress.

That is gorgeous. I love the way you combined the colours from two months and then also did the compliment of the colour. The books all fit so well together and just flow from one to the other. Beautiful!!!!

Fantastic! I also like the idea of combining the colors over the months. I might have to steal that idea.

I love every little thing about this quilt. I'm sure we'll see a lot of rainbow scraps project next year with a similar approach to combining colors ... and one of them will probably be mine :-)

I've been saving larger scraps lately so I can scrap along with the RSC. See you there.

The colour buzzing around in this quilt is amazing.
It is one of those quilts which make you feel happy to see it. The way you made up these blocks over the months is inspired!!

Oh my! What a delightful riot of color! I wasn't sure about those blocks throughout the year - just couldn't picture them together. But you obviously had a vision, and I'm sooooo impressed. Can't wait to join the RSC in 2015.

what a great strategy you used (colour of the month, plus last month's and then it's colour wheel opposite). Brilliant idea for an equally brilliant quilt. Happy new year and I look forward to seeing what you do with RSC15
