A Small Four Patch Top

Four Patch
It's a top!
40 x 50
I have been making Four Patches from 3 inch squares since last year when I decided to try and empty a box of 3 inch width scraps. Since the theme this month in my sewing space is "smalls" (quilts around 40x48) I decided I had almost enough Four Patches for a "small".

I made a few more blocks from squares I had previously cut and bagged and then I made a top. I will wait to quilt it after I make a couple more small tops.

And sew on...

Finished a book - Treachery By Design by Gary Birken. It's the third book in the Madison Shaw and Jack Wyatt medical mystery series. I thought the first two books in the series were better than this one. After recently reading six medical mysteries by two different authors I think I am ready for a different genre.

I received two surprise packages of fabric this week that I will use in comfort quilts. My thanks to Teresa and Julie!

July 18. My daughter is 49 today! Back in these days we didn't know sex of the baby so we did not have names picked out for our second child. There was a beautiful amber sky on the early morning drive to hospital so when baby girl arrived she got the name Amber Dawn.

What a great place for those squares to land! Thanks for the nod to the book. I'm always looking for another good read,
