Adding A Few More Purple and Orange Scrap Blocks To My Collections

Four Patches

3 inch blocks made with 2 inch scraps of black, white and one color. I have over 200. I will alternate them with solid or tone on tone (TOT) squares.

Purple has been the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) color of the month. Last month it was orange. This week I finished up a few blocks made with scraps of both colors.

25 Patches
Made with 2.5 inch squares

Potato Chip Blocks
Made with 1.5 x 2.5 inch rectangles

Nine Patches
3 inch
Someone gave me strips sewn together for this set. I have miscellaneous things like this in a box of leader/enders. Since they had purple in them I decided that should be my leader/ender while piecing the rest of these blocks. I will add them to a little bin I have of 3 inch Nine Patches. I love the little things.

I see the RSC color for August is aqua. It's always fun to see what scraps I have to work with when a new color is announced.

And sew on...

Love the B,W & color blocks you've been making. Can't wait to see the finished project of those. You've made great progress on your purples this month, so on to aqua!

Purple and orange look so good together. Too bad Halloween kind of put its badge on them. The B/W 4 patch will make an interesting quilt, the kind that is hard to figure out the pattern. Enjoy! ;^)

Those two colors look so pretty. You must have enjoyed working with them. I sure loved seeing them! I guess I like the more vibrant colors. I'm starting my first ever leader ender project. It just took me a while to wrap my head around the idea of how to get organized or it. LOL

Such good uses of your scraps. Orange and purple look pretty festive together. Love it!

Like you, I have no AC (except for a window unit in my bedroom that my daughter got for me this year). It's been difficult to get any sewing done at home and my travel machine decided to give up the ghost when I took it to FL, so I don't have a machine to take to a quilter friend who has AC. We are promised a cool down on Thurs which I look forward to (hope it really happens, the weather forecasts have been off so often, I rarely pay attention to them anymore.
