Tiny Spools in a BIG quilt
I was going to quilt this on my DSM.
Then I wasn't.
Then I was.
Then I wasn't.
Then I was.
Then I saw some #12 perle cotton thread on clearance.
Then I bought LOTs of #12 clearance perle.
Then I remembered I always wanted to hand quilt a quilt with Baptist Fans.
Then I decided this was the quilt to quilt with Baptist Fans.
Then I marked a few rows of Baptist Fans in mechanical pencil.
Then it went into the hoop and then I started hand quilting.
Then I linked up at Kathy's Quilts for some Slow Sunday Stitching.
Then I linked up with Quilting is More Fun than Housework - Oh Scrap!

And then you were exhausted and sat down to relax. And quilt.
I love your spools, you inspirer, you!
Hehehehe.... You are too funny! Sometimes things just place themselves in our path (cotton on sale) to lead us in the right direction. Great decision to hand quilt in the baptist fan pattern on this cutie.
Love seeing your quilting train of thought! That is often how things come together!
Sew fun to visit all the fabrics in your spools as you hand quilt! Nice spools!
Once I big stitched a child's quilt in a similar frame. I enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy it also as it would be fun to quilt these colorful spools.
Haha, it's good to have a clear plan!
Hahaha!!! That kinda reminds me of a child's story! I hope you're enjoying some peaceful stitching today - it's looking really good :)
Ah yes, that slippery slope that sends us quilters down a path quickly. It is going to be beautiful! Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
And then all your quilty fans shouted "You go, girl!" as we watched another great quilt come together. The End.
What Cathy said. So fun!
Glad you decided to do this - I dream of hand quilting baptist fans, so going to enjoy watching your effort and result!
Then I said..."oh! Fantastic quilt!"
Great idea!! Loving it!!
I am squealing with delight over here... love the spools and love the hand quilted fans!
So exciting!
I can totally relate to the decision making "back and forth" "Yes I am, No I'm not" kind of process!! LOL
