Marginalia (aka The Circle Game)

My January Circles.
I finished a couple of books, we ate the last of our homegrown onions, my cousin's husband died, my oldest son turned 42, I looked through seed  catalogs, ordered seeds and received seeds.  I finished a quilt, I remarked on grandkids shoe skating on ice in the cornfield on a frigid day, played games with the grandkids...

...I suffered some very stressful days at work...

...felt crabby and blue...

...and I'm sick of robocalls.  Iowa caucuses are tonight so hopefully the calls will end.

I've been making circles since Nov 4, 2015. I guess I now have 89 circles.  I need to start sewing them together. I want to keep them in order sequentially and think I have a layout in mind.

Whose crazy idea was this?
Audrey of Quilty Folk
I can't believe the variety of circles being made out there in blog land. Oh what fun!

I love your circles - the split backgrounds and the fact you're using them as a daily journal. So perfect!

Qh so tired of robocalls, and we don't even live in Iowa! But I love that you put that on your circles! So sorry to hear you have been experiencing some stress, but happy you have some sewing to do to alleviate it.

Sorry about your stressed to the max days! I am doing something similar with my circles - writing a word or two or three in the "margins". Your blanket stitch looks great. This is sure a fun project and Audrey has got a lot of people joining in!

Your circles truly are becoming a year-long diary. This will be a beautiful remembrance quilt for you. Great job.

I really like the idea of writing the words right on the block so that it really serves as a record of your days. Really honors the spirit of the Quilty 365. Your circles are beautiful.

Great idea making notes on your quilt. A fabric journal.

Man, I hate those robocalls! You'd think they'd realize that they do more harm than good.

But, I love your approach for your circles! The little notes really make it relevant and personal. Looking good!

Love your HST triangle backgrounds. Good call to make the circles small enough to write around.

I love the name, and your little notes. My circles do relate to what's happened but I kind of wish I had something with your level of text: such a lovely way to record the day-to-day.

Love your Quilty Circles on HST and your journal notes. I chose to follow your idea. Spending today, trying to catch up. It doesn't take long to fall a week behind. Decided to sew them together, 12 to a Row. Have enjoyed reading & following your Blog.
