Have You Crossed a Drunkard's Path?

My daughter always gives me gifts like this for Christmas.  This is someone's old box filled with quilting templates and quilt patterns. Most of the newspapers are dated in the 1930-1931 range - around the time my Dad was born and around the time my grandma, who taught me to sew, was making quilts.  So I like to imagine this belonged to my grandma.

When I saw Vicki's Cross the Drunkard's Path Quilt Along I went to look for a pattern in this box.  I found one but it just seemed a little smaller than I wanted to tackle.  So, instead I found a template at Mc'Calls Quilting which is a little bigger.

I'm making my blocks in dots and stripes and I want about 120 - 6 inch blocks (four quadrants sewn together) to make a 60 x 72 quilt.

I think the 6 blocks I made this week makes a total of 36 so I have a long way to go.

It's kind of fun matching up dots and stripes.

Thanks for that link. I have some smaller pieces I would like to use and those McCall's templates are perfect!
