I finished block #18 for my Crazy Cravings lap quilt. I only have 2 more to go before I will start assembling them into my quilt.
I had just enough embroidery transfers that were suitable for some Crazy Cravings.
There were only a few long seams to embellish on this block. I did some lazy daisy flowers on one seam to sort of mimic the flowers on the hot cocoa mugs. Another seam has 2 rows of half circle chain stitch in 2 strands of variegated DMC. I thought the half circles sort of mimicked the chocolate shapes. Another seam has some lace held down with french knots and herringbone stitch and has a pink running stitch through it. I laced some gold cording through some brown and metallic running stitches and finally added a cookie jar button to cover where the lace and chain stitch meet.
This was my crazy quilt project in 2012 - Crazy Basket Case. It is entirely hand stitched. I hope my Crazy Cravings turns out as nice. I still have a lot to do on Crazy Cravings but I started on...
...my crazy quilt project for 2014 - Crazy Farm!
I'm also doing a little embroidery on gingham for another project I have in mind that needs some embroidery. For right now the project is only in my mind and that's where it will stay until next month.
Before the day ends I might start crocheting a blue scarf for my 4 year old grandson because that's what he ordered.

WOW--you have totally re-inspired me to continue with my Noveau Ladies for 2014! Having been sick for a week, I needed a shot in the arm to get myself to finish up all those background blocks. I did do another block today...3 more to go...I know I've said it before, but I just love your Cravings piece so much...and that basket quilt is amazing...hugs and Merry Christmas Julierose
I am going to have to put one of these on my list for 2015. Maybe I could incorporate scrap challenge with crazy quilt challenge. I thought your crazy cravings was a great idea but your crazy farm really peaks my interest. I am really looking forward to this quilt's journey, and take notes for sure in hopes I can do one of these sooner than later.
Cathy...This is my first time to the meme, and I am so excited. It is going to e such a treat to watch the progress that all of your girls are making with your quilts. Your embroidery blows me out of the ballpark it is so pretty. I really need to get back to it before my fingers give out. The way you are doing creating the crazy quilts combined with all the embroidery is beautiful. Your basket quilt is heavenly. Five yourself a big pat on the pat. Merry Christmas to you and your family. genie
