Blogger's Quilt Festival - Scrappy Wild Thing

Wild Thing
80 x 80
Hand quilted with perle #8

Blocks were made of scraps in complementary colors.
As you can see from a lot of the blocks...I love novelty fabrics.
These were all last years Block Lotto blocks.

Some blocks were rather challenging and some were very simple.

I hand quilted the entire thing in different colors of perle cotton #8.

Because the front was so busy I used a solid color wide backing so all of the hand quilting would show up somewhere.

Love your use of last year's blocks! That's the most appealing one yet. You really are practicing that hand quilting! The colored threads were the perfect choice for this one.

What a happy quilt. It's so bright, and I just love bright. It's lovely to see that you hand quilted it. I like using Perle 8 for hand quilting too. Well done.

What a lovely quilt! The colors just are so vibrant and your hand quilting is such a wonderful detail. Good call on using a solid fabric for the backing so that your pretty stitches can be seen.
