Happy Owls
40 x 56
I used to participate in a monthly Happy Block swap that was a lot of fun until too many people neglected to follow through on their end of the swap and as a result I lost a lot of blocks. But that's another story.
So, I have a box of all kinds of Happy Blocks that need to be made into quilts. Every once in a while I actually dig in and do that. When Sara's Hands to Help Charity Quilt Challenge came along I dipped into the box and came up with some Happy Owls, made a few more Happy Owls and now this quilt will soon be going to Happy Chemo.
I quilted in some branches and leaves on my plain Jane Janome (DSM).
This was a Q2 goal (#13) for 2015 Finish Along
At the end of May I will link up with Julie's Binding Blitz.

What a darling quilt. I didn't realize there were that many owl prints - all so cute. Your box of happy blocks will be an great WIP generator. Thanks for linking to WIPs Be Gone!
Love those owls--they are so adorable hugs, Julierose
If the owls don't get you, the colors will! Gorgeous happy quilt.
Happy owls, indeed. I especially like the 'ziggy zaggy' block. Makes me smile.
Very sweet! Love the whimsy to it especially considering it's destination.:)
I love it! That's where my quilt is going, too. =)
This raised a smile here.
love this! Love the idea of it as well, since it could be poodles...
