Cut!

I have not been in the sewing room much the past few days. I have been running errands ( I save them all up for one or two trips into town) and battling horseweed, pokeweed, day flower weed and bindweed (I am an organic gardener).

My theme this month in the sewing space is "loose ends" because I sure have a lot of them. The last few days I have emptied a box of quilt back trimmings. I cut them into 1.5, 2, 2.5,3,3.5,4,4.5 and 5 inch width pieces and put them away in their respective bins. I had quite a few strings too but throw those as they occur into a box under the table.

And sew on...

I think loose ends is what I'm doing 🤣 I've been working on forgotten projects & UFO's😄 I like the idea of pre cutting binding strips, nothing worse than running out of fabric when you get to that stage

I pulled out a bunch of the dayflower weed last week. It's an easy one to pull out. My friend loves it and lets it grow in her flowerbeds. It was great weather for cleaning up gardens and now it will come to a close with mid to high 80s and rising humidity by the end of the week.

Oh those fabrics look yummy together. I have come to really treasure the variety that I can get from quilt back trimmings. I don't know too much about weeds. LOL I wouldn't know what to do with them!
