Four Patches

Four Patches
3 inch finished
Black, white and one other color.
I made 80 of them this week.

I now have met my goal of 270 of them. I started making them from 2 inch scraps and squares as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) project back in 2023.

The Four Patches will alternate with 3.5 inch solid squares in a quilt. I have been accumulating 3.5 inch width solid scraps so the next step is cutting those into squares.

After a week of rainy days we are having beautiful weather again so I have been spending a lot of time in the gardens. I am clearing spots to winter sow some seeds that need 30-90 days of cold stratification.

Finished a book! The Forgotten Children by Ann Bennett. WWII historical fiction. The lives of twin Jewish girls are changed forever after Kristallnacht.

Your 4-patches are going to make an awesome quilt. Clever idea to do black and white with just 1 other color.

I read that book - there are so many WWII books available and you can learn so much of history as you enjoy reading the book. Do you get yours from Kindle Unlimited like I do?

I like that combination of black and white and brights! Your book sounds interesting. I read a lot of WWII historical fiction, too!

That is going to make a good scrappy quilt. Enjoy cutting. Sometimes it's just fun and relaxing to "mindlessly" cut instead of "mindlessly" sew! Our hummingbirds started to show up again. We have been enjoying them. We had to cut a few trees down so our other birds are slowly getting used to the new atmosphere. We had to move our hanging baskets and bird feeders. LOL

I can hardly wait to see the finished project you make with those 4 patches!
