Rose Petals
68 x 82
It's a finish!
Since last blog post I've woven in all the loose thread ends and...
...crocheted a dark pink edging all around.
All of the crochet was done with odds and ends of #10 crochet cotton in shades of pink and a #7 crochet hook.
The coverlet consists of 286 4.5 inch rose themed scraps sewn right sides together and turned right side out. So that makes 143 reversible squares.
Since the squares are reversible it was difficult to avoid some of the same squares next to each other on the back side. And I'm okay with that. I love how this turned out.

Oh my gosh girl! I absolutely adore this. I started one a couple of years ago but decided the fabrics I was using were not really what I wanted. So I ditched the darn thing. Now, looking at yours I know I was right to ditch it. This is what I actually had in my minds eye. Beautiful! Job well done!!!
What a gorgeous lap quilt--beautiful finish--that darker rose thread just pulls it all together...nice job hugs Julierose
that is soo pretty and so vintage looking....love it!
Even though I’m not a fan of pink or rose printed fabrics, I think your coverlet is gorgeous! Well done!!!!!!!
This is a fabulous finish! Kudos to you for persevering through this one, it was worth all the time and effort.

You really did a nice job on this! An heirloom for sure.
Gorgeous. And look at all the rose fabrics and crochet cotton you used. Quite a labor of love.

The coverlet turned out beautifully! :)
Wow, I just love this coverlet - and just about everything you do with rose-print fabrics! It totally reminds me of our crazy quilting days.and it will definitely be a cherished heirloom in your family!
I’ve had rose fabrics put away for several years to start a quilt. I was doing to do the wedding ring blocks like you did, then a Scrap Dance Minuet (from Carole at My Carolina Home), and now I think I may be combining the fabrics with my vintage linens as I follow along with Rhonda Dort’s quilt-along starting in January.
That is so pretty and delicate looking. I love floral fabrics.
An amazingly unique quilt. How fabulous to use lots of your rose fabrics and leftover yarn. A true delight that you and your family will cherish for years. Congratulations!
A stunning finish! A real heirloom, wonderful way to use those rose fabrics.
