Using Blue 1.5 Inch Scraps

From the blue 1.5 inch scraps I made lots of little 3 inch (finished) rail fence blocks.

And each month I've been making these little 2x2 units from the 1.5 inch scraps.   I had no idea when I started making them what I would do with them. They are pretty versatile.

I finally decided I would assemble them into blocks of 3x7 and see how I liked them.

I liked them so sewed all of the little units in the colors we've used so far in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge into blocks 3x7.

It will still take a lot of these blocks to make a big quilt especially since I try not to make duplicates of any of the colored fabrics.

These blocks are so cool! It's so smart to use the "nubs" to make the 3x7 blocks. :)

I always like to see how you use the littlest leftover pieces! It gives me ideas, too! And why not just keep making those 3 x 7 blocks until you have enough of them? Lovely to have no deadline or pressure to finish.

Good approach - and yes, it will take awhile if you are not repeating when BLUE is called out two years in a row and you have a multi-year project. I know you aren't worried - your stash and scraps are full of fun.

I keep telling myself I'm going to start using leaders and enders to do this, but as usual, I keep procrastinating! Your blues/whites are really pretty! ---"Love"

OMG! No duplicates? That is a challenge alrighty! You'll be 147 years old before you finish it! But the bitty scraps are looking awesome.

Love the way these are coming together. Hey if you need a certain color let me know, I will be happy to send you some with no duplications.

As always, you are so good at finding ways to use your scraps. No duplication of fabric is an extra level of challenge.

Such pretty little blocks. I like how they are turning out in all the colors - a very pretty scrap quilt it will be.
