Another Flimsy: Jack's Chain

Jack's Chain
It's just a top right now and measures about 70 x 80 more or less.
I might end up calling it Jacob's Chain since this is another one for the hope chest...a wedding quilt for my grandson, Jacob, who is six.

It's been in the works for a long time. There's lots of fun little 3 inch 9 patches and lots of Y seams.
And I hope there will be lots of hand quilting going on one of these days.  No hurry to get it completed, though. I don't think my grandson is going to get married any time soon.

I love it! So bright and happy!
That's one of the quilts that's been on my to-do list for decades. Maybe I should move it up on the list...

Love love love it, WOWWW Do you mean each little square is only 1"?????? so 9 of them make a 3" square? if so have you made these wee blocks up by hand or machine . What a gift of love to Jacob. Thanks for sharing, I'm off to spend time to read older posts about this quilt. . Cheers Glenda

It is so gorgeous! Really stunning. I am so glad YOU did it. The thought of me doing something like that gives me a headache and sends me running for antacid. But I sure love looking at it!!

I've wondered about making one of these quilts, but don't find it on any of my lists, so I guess not. BUT this example of yours is stunning!

Wow! I am so amazed at the beauty of your version of Jack's Chain. The blue background really lets the bright 9-patches shine!

This is one of my favourite quilt patterns of all time. I love the dark version, which I've never seen before.
