Heartstrings Quilt Project is hosting a black and white challenge. Here's my first top of 24 blocks with green centers.
I've also finished assembling a top using orphan blocks and some scrappy hearts.
Both quilts, when finished, will go to Wrap a Smile - quilts for kids undergoing cleft lip/cleft palate surgery.

Fantastic. I love string blocks. They are always sew interesting. Your hearts are great too. What a nifty idea to incorporate some orphan blocks. Nice!
I love your string blocks! Those polka dots are the perfect touch!
Love that string block quilt. So striking. You did a great job with the orphan block too. Thanks for sharing. Marie (mlismore@optusnet.com.au)
Oh wow, I really like your tops. Great idea for orphan blocks.
I'm joining the B/W string challenge too. Just picked up some fabrics for that today.
The heart string quilt is lovely. Black and white with a splash of colour is such a good combination.
