Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

Butterflies on hexies.

Butterflies on my deck

Tiger Swallowtail, Hackberry Emperor and a teeny tiny White Sulphur butterfly that blended in with the Bird's Eye (Gilia) flower while nectaring.

Those big butterflies on the hexies are gorgeous! Butterflies and hexies have been on my to do list/UFO list for 5 years now. When will I get back to them? So many distractions...

Nothing to do with quilting, but just butterflies.... I've seen quite a number of tiger swallowtails this summer but so far haven't been able to capture one with a camera.

What beauties. I've seen two of those varieties around here but never a Hackberry Emeror. How exciting for you.
