Green 4.5

I didn't make any green Dresden blocks back in May when green was the RSC color of the month. So this month I have to make 8 green Dresdens.
Here's my green with b/w and green with w/b.
Next week I hope to have the green plus complement and only green blocks finished.

I've been using up 4.5 inch scraps on these.

And speaking of 4.5 inch scraps...I decided to make a few green flying geese.   I used my EZ angle rulers to cut these.  I think I'll make these next year. Not sure what I'll do with them. It will come to me later.

Got Scraps?
Join us each ScrapHappy Saturday and show us what you've done with them.

your dresdens are gorgeous. Funny how we're already thinking a plan for next year --- I had decided a few months ago to make dresdens next year and other stuff too. we just have so many choices.

Love the Dresden Plate blocks and the flying geese are a winner for next year. I like the chevron pattern they make the wings of one become the head of the other.

I love the ric-rac in your Dresdens, what an original idea! It's good fun to make something 'just because' - maybe one day the flying geese will become a border, you never know! Oh and have I got scraps?!? ScrapHappy Saturday sounds like something I should find out about - thank you. Hope you're having a lovely day :)

How can you go wrong with a big flock of flying geese? I'm looking forward to the quilt you'll make!
Love the dresdens, too, as always. That's another quilt I'm looking forward to.

The Dresdens are just beautiful. Flying geese can be used in so many ways. Such a versatile block.

Those Dresden Plates show off beautifully against the slatey blue/gray.

I'd love to see what you do with a year's worth of flying geese - one of my favourite blocks. :-)

I recognize one of the prints in one of your flying geese from my own stash! I've been saving scraps for geese too but haven't really made many up yet.

Some of your green fabrics are really great. Patterns on them are so interesting.
