Round Three - Animal Kingdom

Orphan Block Center
Round one with 2.5 inch finished Hourglass blocks.
Round Two with borders and Double Four Patch cornerstones.
Round Three I added a Flying Geese border.
The top is now 36 inches square.

The round three prompt for the Stay at Home Round Robin (SAHRR) 2026 is "Animal Kingdom".

I am making three comfort quilts using the SAHRR prompts.

Raggedy Ann and Andy

Round One with 4 inch finished Hourglass blocks.
Round Two - In round one I used Four Patches for the cornerstones.  I replaced the cornerstones with Double Four Patches.
Round Three - I added a border to two sides of each top and added Puss in the Corner blocks to the top and bottom of those side borders.
Both are 36 inches wide and 24 inches in length.

I was going to add that border all around; however, there are three more SAHRR prompts and I am already at the width I want so the next three rounds will be added to the top and bottom.

And sew on...

And since these are all made from scraps...

Great job with the "animal kingdom". I love how you set the hourglass blocks in both Raggedy Ann & Andy. Clever design. Enjoy! ;^)

Sew.Much.Sewing! You are really quick with your making, and I think the purple striated fabric mixed with the Kaffe (?) daisies is spot on. Your other two comfort quilts are really expanding!

Your 3 quilts look great. You work fast! I don't know why flying geese didn't come immediately to my mind for this prompt, haha. :)

These are great! I really love both borders, and I like seeing the variety of animal blocks people have chosen. I was hoping someone would use Puss in the Corner!
