Double Four Patch

This is a "pieces and parts" quilt. Last year I received a bag with some completed 4 inch finished blocks, some completed 2.5 inch four patches, 2.5 inch squares in each of the three colors and a baggie of 1.5 inch squares plus some extra fabric in each of the three colors. There were also enough 2.5 inch width strips of yellow to use for binding.
I constructed more blocks.
I had fun looking at all the little things that can end up in a 1 inch square.
I quilted it on my sewing machine on the diagonals through the little four patches.
And sew on...

Finished a book of the magical realism genre - The Mysterious Bakery on Rue de Paris by Evie Woods. It was very light reading for a time I felt like I needed some magical realism.

What a lovely quilt! love the yellow and pink! I have a double four patch in my UFOs that is green and brown. Hopefully it will make it to a finish this year!

So pretty! You did a great job of making a collection of little blocks come together into a lovely quilt. That pop of pink is surprising with the blue and yellow, but works perfectly.

What a finish! I love the illusion effect of the quilt! I too enjoyed that book. I also read it at a time that a little magical theme brightened my day!
That's so pretty, Cathy! I love the stripes of blue, red, and yellow that form. I like Evie Woods' blocks, but I haven't read that one - I'll have to put it on my list!
